What the two ladies viewed and experienced became fodder for the School of Flaunt, so much money, such bad taste and oh those terrible manners. Something had to be done! DIAMOND JUBILEE WEEKEND - WHAT'S ON Saturday June 2 Epsom Derby The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh will attend from 1pm Hyde Park Jubilee Family Festival Family orientated celebrations with five zones, including a Disney zone. Traditional British food and entertainment will be on offer including the Queen's cavalry, Pearly Kings and Queen and singing tea ladies. Sunday June 3 Thames Diamond Jubilee River Pageant Celebrating the reign of Queen Elizabeth II on the Thames. The Queen arrives at Chelsea Pier at 2pm with the Royal family. Around fifty big screens will be places along the river so that the assembled crowds can watch all the action live. Battersea Park Festival An 'alternative village-fete' with retro acts, vintage tea dance and a portrait of the Queen made from 3,210 cakes. Hyde Park Jubilee Family Festival continues The official Street party day Street parties throughout the country. Monday June 4 The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Concert Organised by BBC and Gary Barlow the Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace will feature music legends such as Stevie Wonder, Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Tom Jones alongside new acts Ed Sheeran, JLS and Jessie J and many more. Broadcast begins on BBC 1 at 7.30 pm. Beacons lit 4,000 beacons will be lit around the kingdom, with the last one - the national Beacon - lit by the Queen herself. Buckingham Palace fireworks display Tuesday June 5 National service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral 57 members of the royal family join nearly 2,000 guests. The service will be led by Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowan Williams and starts at 10.30 am. Lunch The seven senior royals will attend lunch at Westminster Hall with 700 invited guests. Carriage procession to Buckingham Palace After lunch the royal party will travel by carriage through Whitehall. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will travel in the 1902 State Landau used by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their wedding day. Balcony and flypast RAF flypast and balcony waves by the seven members of the Royal family chosen by the queen to appear.
