The School of Flaunt

Back when "Flying Was Fun" Alexandra Smythe and Cate Clarke were Flight Attendants with a Major International Carrier. Prior to Private Jets coming into vogue, Alexandra and Cate traveled in the First Class World, meeting and greeting the top celebrities, politicians who would become Presidents, nouveau riche, and yes the occasional Headline Grabbing Criminal in Handcuffs!

What the two ladies viewed and experienced became fodder for the School of Flaunt, so much money, such bad taste and oh those terrible manners. Something had to be done! Hence, The School of Flaunt Handbook was born. Read More

Lemonade

And

Charity!!

Today I attended a Charity Committee meeting at a gorgeous coop of a friend. As I noted the women in the room, all were so impressive. This group raises funds for Cancer Research at a Major University. In this room, the Chair pointed out that 11 former "Ball Chairs" were in attendance. Wow, the millions made in one evening held each year at the Four Seasons. Not unnoticed, was the fact that five of these women had successfully beaten cancer and only one of us was still in treatment, but she looked amazing.

After a great exchange of ideas, we had coffee and then I returned home. What struck me were the young girls waving my car down to "sell" Lemonade down the road. Now this was no "ordinary" stand. This was a Flaunt Fabulous Cold Drink stand in neon orange metal on wheels. So cute.

I asked for a ½ and ½ , lemonade and ice tea and they were eager to impress. The drink was fine, but these young girls were raising money for Cancer Research too! One had given 'Locks for Love" twice! Others had mothers who had gone through leukemia or Breast Cancer treatments.

Well I was impressed. I gave them my secret Lemonade Recipe and they scrambled to prepare. I also gave them some marketing tips on Signage, etc.

How wonderful for these children to think of Charity, instead of their wants.

It reminded me when my own daughter was young and brought out some Beanie Babies to sell to the neighborhood to raise money for Breast Cancer.

I was so touched, until I realized she was selling her duplicates!! Oh well, she made $50.00 and felt so good sending the money to charity. To this day she gives of her time to raise funds for Cancer Research.

Encourage your young ones to give of themselves. This is pure Flaunt at it's Finest!

XOXO,

Cate
