Back when "Flying Was Fun" Alexandra Smythe and Cate Clarke were Flight Attendants with a Major International Carrier. Prior to Private Jets coming into vogue, Alexandra and Cate traveled in the First Class World, meeting and greeting the top celebrities, politicians who would become Presidents, nouveau riche, and yes the occasional Headline Grabbing Criminal in Handcuffs!

What the two ladies viewed and experienced became fodder for the School of Flaunt, so much money, such bad taste and oh those terrible manners. Something had to be done! Hence, The School of Flaunt Handbook was born. Read More

Mee Maw's Cheesy Southern Style Biscuits

Hi Cate

As Promised, here's our family recipe for the Cheesy Biscuits! Let me know how they come out.ENJOY! BON APPETITE!

GO FLAUNT!

Mee Maw's Cheesy Southern Style Biscuits

2 Cups of Self Rising Flour

1 tsp Baking Powder

1 tsp of sugar OR you can use splenda

1/3 cup shortening (Mee maw used Crisco)

3/4 Cup grated sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup of Buttermilk

Salt-about 1 tsp

1/4 stick of Melted Butter..

In a medium bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt to taste, and add sugar. Use a fork for mixing.

Cut in Shortening until the dough resembles cornmeal. Add cheese.

Add buttermilk all at one time until blended. DO NOT OVER STIR

Drop by tbls or use an ice cream scoop onto a well greased baking sheet and brush dough with butter

Bake at 375 for 12-15 min. Let cool and serve!!!!! ENJOY Y'ALL!
