The School of Flaunt

Back when "Flying Was Fun" Alexandra Smythe and Cate Clarke were Flight Attendants with a Major International Carrier. Prior to Private Jets coming into vogue, Alexandra and Cate traveled in the First Class World, meeting and greeting the top celebrities, politicians who would become Presidents, nouveau riche, and yes the occasional Headline Grabbing Criminal in Handcuffs!

What the two ladies viewed and experienced became fodder for the School of Flaunt, so much money, such bad taste and oh those terrible manners. Something had to be done! Hence, The School of Flaunt Handbook was born. Read More

Melanoma

Many of you read my crazy story of the recovery room last week. I did ask for Dr. House! What you don't know is that I had a surgical procedure on a rogue mole and that was diagnosed with Melanoma! In addition I had my lymph nodes checked for cancerous cells.

The good news is all margins were "Clear" and lymph nodes were "Negative" for any cancer. And who do I have to thank for this good news? No not my Drs., who were great, but my BFF,  Alexandra Smythe!

Yes, in July Alexandra mentioned she was going to her Dermatologist to check a couple of suspicious spots. "Hmmm," I said, I have some curious spots too. So I made the appointment.

Next thing I knew I was having three biopsies! Two were nothing, but a small dark irregular mole on the back of my upper arm was diagnosed with Melanoma!  You can imagine my surprise, as I was never a "Sun Worshiper!"

Now, after the two surgeries and testing at a major teaching hospital, I am cancer free and very grateful to my co-author, Alexandra for nudging me to see my Dermatologist!

So all of you with spots or nots, please go and have a checkup! Let me know how you do.

Oh, Alexandra's spots were nothing and your's probably will be nothing too!

xoxo,

Cate
