The School of Flaunt

Back when "Flying Was Fun" Alexandra Smythe and Cate Clarke were Flight Attendants with a Major International Carrier. Prior to Private Jets coming into vogue, Alexandra and Cate traveled in the First Class World, meeting and greeting the top celebrities, politicians who would become Presidents, nouveau riche, and yes the occasional Headline Grabbing Criminal in Handcuffs!

What the two ladies viewed and experienced became fodder for the School of Flaunt, so much money, such bad taste and oh those terrible manners. Something had to be done! Hence, The School of Flaunt Handbook was born. Read More

My Scathingly Brilliant Idea!  Glee!

I just love sighting celebs in NYC or LA., anywhere, really. Well, I have just come up with a wonderful way to meet my favorites!! Catering, DO NOT TELL MY MOTHER.

I have a close friend that owns one of the Craft Services for TV and movies. She and I have always laughed about meeting celebs by working on the Catering Crew. There are so many spies that want to get the dirt on these people and sell it to TMZ or some horrid tattler mag that do that type of thing. But now it was me who was thinking Glee is coming to NYC. I love Glee. Catering, sure I could do that for one afternoon. It will be fun.

I was given the "uniform." Apron, check, black pants, (will wear my own Ralph Lauren's as I hate the High Waist Band), white shirt, (again will be wearing one of my Anne Fontaine numbers.) Check, I am ready.

I meet the Catering Crew and trucks in Central Park. Almost immediately, I have sighted Kurt Hummel and Matthew Morrison!!! Gwyneth Paltrow is in the house!! OMG, this is fun. I am giving coffee to Rachel and Coach Sylvester. OK I did get the orders wrong, and Coach Sylvester is asking if I have done this before? Ummm, yes, "I am new," I say to shame her. She is not shamed.

What? Someone wants a sandwich? "Later Kiddo, I am busy watching the entire cast sing. Oh, well yes, I can help you with that? Would you like chips and bottled water? Coke? Well, that is a lot of sugar, but you are young enough, just don't make a habit of this."

Glares are coming my way from my Catering Director. Oops, better keep my advice to myself. There really should be more salads available. And sodas and sandwiches at 9 AM? Just saying.

Now the cast is singing and skipping through the Park. So lovely and the sound system is quite good.

Small aside: These teens are all pushing 30!

Here come the Warblers!! All look so cute in their Blazers and hungry, better get busy here. "Can I interest you in a Veggie Burger? No? Ok, do you want chips with that dog food? Oops, I mean with your lunch."

I am already planning on future filming. Hello Seinfeld Reunion and Nurse Jackie!

My cell phone is ringing. Wonder why my friend who owns Crafts Service would be calling me now?
