The School of Flaunt
Back when "Flying Was Fun" Alexandra Smythe and Cate Clarke were Flight Attendants with a Major International Carrier. Prior to Private Jets coming into vogue, Alexandra and Cate traveled in the First Class World, meeting and greeting the top celebrities, politicians who would become Presidents, nouveau riche, and yes the occasional Headline Grabbing Criminal in Handcuffs!

It is Flaunt Foodie Friday and we are in the hot Dog Days of Summer! Having said that we love summer at the School of Flaunt. Outdoor parties, lots of events to attend, drives up the coast, and vacations! And what could be better with all of these than a wine cooler/spritzer, wine cocktail, or sangria? Some would call them summer time drinks we call them flauntilicious fun. BUT THERE ARE SOME RULES TO FOLLOW!
Think of the Sicilian Dragon as the sophisticated, slender Southern Italian cousin of classic eggnog. When we first tasted the drink at Barrelhouse Flat, as research for our annual Best Cocktails roundup, we had a single thought: This is what we want once 'nog season rolls around. There’s no cream in this concoction, and eggnog’s traditional companions, bourbon and rum, are swapped for gin and Averna, that caramel-y, Sicilian-made liqueur. There’s egg, but here it’s shaken whole and left raw, lending the finished drink a silky, indulgent feel.

ArringtonVineyard’s Viognier Spritzer Ingredients: 12 whole strawberries 1 750-ml bottle of Arrington Vineyards' Viognier, chilled 3 cups chilled sparkling water 1 1/2 cups chilled tangerine juice 1 1/2 cups chilled pomegranate juice 10 fresh mint leaves 1 1/2 cups crushed ice cubes 2 unpeeled tangerines, sliced into thin rounds
Pamatini 2 oz. PAMA Pomegranate Liqueur 1 oz. Vodka 1/4 oz. Orange Flavored Liqueur (or 1-1/4 oz Absolute Mandarin Vodka which is what I'm doing) What's also good is shot of Pama and the rest champagne in a tall glass. Yum. From Scott Tjaden
